After much thought and consideration and research and price comparison, Miranda decided that she would like to spend her life's savings on a new pet. Being a reptile lover she knew that she wanted a reptile but had some tough decisions to make when choosing the perfect one for her. And then she found a Bearded Dragon Lizard, also known as a "Beardie", and she fell head over heals in love. There was much justification and deliberation when it came to convincing Dad but finally it was decided that she was old enough and responsible enough for a pet all her own.
Saturday was spent at Reptile Ray's choosing her new best friend... Mir had to buy his cage, shelter, warmth, food....yes, live crickets..... Excitement was high. It was decided that we would pick Wizard up on Sunday after church so that we would have time to get his new home all set up and warm. I am sure that last Sunday was the longest mass that Miranda will ever attend :)
Day one went off without a hitch. Mixzy hasn't tried to eat him yet and Wizard seems to be quite content. Miranda has done all of the caring for her friend although I have held him once or twice...and checked one him a couple of times. I can't say that I have ever been a reptile admirer myself, but the little guy really is quite cute.
Many have questioned Miranda's choice of pets but I admire her for being true to herself and sticking with what she knew she loved. Welcome home Wizard.
